The “Artesanías de Puebla: Idea + Materia” project aimed to enhance Puebla’s artisan sector by establishing a strong operational base, increasing international exposure, and improving product quality. The project successfully showcased twice Puebla’s crafts at the NY NOW tradeshow, establishing the region as a notable source of handmade products and initiating international buyer contacts. Key achievements include the completion of 27 artisan design workshops, producing export-quality products, and ongoing support through business skills training and community promoter follow-up.
Key Achievements:
Developed a baseline for monitoring and evaluating artisan conditions, analyzing their initial economic, social, and productive status.
Conducted 27 artisan design workshops, resulting in products of export quality.
Initiated and continued business skills workshops, enhancing artisans’ abilities to manage and grow their businesses effectively.
