Mexico › Manos Vivas 2.0

The "Manos Vivas 2.0" project, started in August 2022, in Chiapas, Yucatán, and Campeche, aimed to improve the livelihoods of 474 indigenous families through financial education, business development, and sustainable income generation. The project facilitated workshops on family financial planning, savings and credit methodologies, and entrepreneurship, resulting in the creation or strengthening of 42 microbusinesses and generating over MXN$9.4 million in sales. Through partnerships with commercial organizations, artisan businesses expanded their market reach, secured 262 buyer orders, and presented their products at both national and international fairs 

  • Over 500 families in Chiapas, Yucatán, and Campeche participated in financial education and sustainable income generation activities. 

  • The project facilitated the creation or strengthening of 42 microbusinesses, with a combined sales total of MXN$9.4 million. 

  • 262 buyer orders were secured for artisan products through national and international partnerships. 

  • 509 families successfully established and implemented family financial plans, improving household economic management. 

  • 68 community savings groups were strengthened, with an 80% increase in the value of their collective savings
